Trail Update for KASA March 11/19
Well folks, we did not want to wake up this morning to see the plus temps and rain. This will not help our situation at all. Snow is going faster then sandwiches at a country social!!!!!

Just want to thank our groomer operators for putting in long hours last week and weekend! We got a lot of compliments from sledders on the trail! Great job gang!

Will toss another report on tomorrow at some point.

KASA Update for March 7/19

Piston Bully left last night little after midnight, the trail has been gone over from Spring Valley, Margate, Granville, Fredericton, Rustico and back. We have cleaned up the bumps and covered some of the bare ice down by Louie's. We also fixed up the Fredericton Warburton rd. area. Big Blue had a really hard time trying to climb the hills due to ice conditions underneath the snow so we took the piston bully down this time to clean it up. We have all the corners push back into place and we got the McLean rd. pretty good considering the hard packed snow and ice on it. Be nice to get another 10 CM to fill in the cuttings, so everyone cross your fingers and do a snow dance. Once we get a chance to check the other section of trail from Summerside to emerald and the by pass we will make a decision on when we will take a run at that area, from the repots I got from some sledders they said it was pretty good other then the bare spots.

Thanks for the thumbs up and the waves from the 6 sleds I met in back of Margate late this morning. Greatly appreciated!!!

KASA Trail Update for March 6/19
Couple of us were out today for a ride to check the trail over. Trail is very ridable. There are some rough, icy patches in spots that need to be attended to and this will be done over the next couple of days. Mclean road is very bumpy with a lot of old frozen snow and ice underneath, this might be a bit of a challenge to smooth out but we will try and cut it down and make it better. Devils punch bowl is as per normal, rough in spots due to the water that runs down through the hills. We will work that area as well to smooth things out. There is minimal snow in some areas more towards the Margate area so ride with caution. We found that the trail system east of Louie's cabin to Rustico is very good going, bit of push out in the sharp turns due to the amount of sleds traveling the last couple of days but we should be able to drag that back in place.

We did notice that there are some sleds taking short cuts through some of the fields that are clearly marked STAY ON TRAIL. We need to caution fellow sledders that if the land owner revokes our permission due to a few sleds not obeying the trail signage then we will be in a big mess. It will basically shut down the access through to Granville from Kensington. This is not a rant but more of a friendly reminder if the sign says STAY ON TRAIL then please obey these instructions to help keep our permission to use this part of the trail.

Going forward I will be updating the KASA page every morning or evening (depending on work and when I have access to a computer) seems there is a lot of complaints going to PEISA over the page not being updated often enough. Hope this helps relieve some of the stress this has caused and I will try and do a better job on keeping the sledders more informed and up to date. I will ask that people allow us time to get the groomers out after a storm and get things gone over a bit before they start asking for trail reports.

Happy and safe sledding!!!!

KASA Trail Update
We have been out went over a the trail system. Emerald to Summerside, Spring Valley, Bypass, French River, Granville, Margate, Rustico, Stanley Bridge all have been gone over. Just a heads up that there is a lot of ice on the trail!!! Please give yourself extra braking room for corners and sharp turns... There are some bare spots along the railbed between Emerald and Summerside. Today was about knocking down drifts and opening up the roads that get filled in from drifting. We will let the sleds pound down and knock the air out of what was groomed today. We will asses the trails before the weekend and make a decision on when we will head back out.

Be safe and please ride with caution due to the ice build up underneath the new snow.

Trail update for KASA!
Drag went to Summerside this morning and back out through bypass to Spring Valley, it is currently on its way to Granville then Rustico and back, we will work the rail bed to Emerald tomorrow and try to drag some snow into the bare spots and clean up from the weekend traffic. hope everyone had a great weekend of sledding. Will up date at some point tomorrow on how things go tonight. Remember to give a wave or a thumbs up to the operators.
Safe Sledding and hope to see more snow in the forecast soon!

Trail Update for KASA!
Hey Folks sorry for not getting the post on sooner, been in the groomer since 6 AM.
Trails have been groomed from Kensington to Emerald (few bare spots but better going after Emerald), Fredericton to Rustico and Stanley has been completed, Driver change about an hour ago and he is making his way to Louie's and back to Margate then to Spring Valley. Kensington to Summerside rail bed has been completed and the Indian River Loop as well as Spring Valley to French River is now completed. Trail conditions are good, this cold weather will help with the water and slush spots, one mother nature has blessed us with a couple days of cold temps we will fix up the slush spots. Just a reminder about the function tomorrow at Louie's, drop by and have a slice of Michaels Pizza and a pop and don't forget to say hi to Donald and the rest of the crew at Louie's. Safe Sledding and enjoy the weekend!

Trail Update for KASA!
Both machines have been busy working trails today. Trails are in good shape! One Machine left and headed to Fredericton via the rail bed, made it's way to Rustico, Stanley Bridge and back to Louie's, they have switched operators and will be making the way back to Margate this evening to Finish that section of the trail. The second machine has taken care of Summerside, Indian River Loop, Spring Valley and is currently making its way to French River. We will check temps and snow conditions after this weather system and as soon as it is fit we will send them again. Safe Sledding and lets pray that there is minimal rain that comes with this system!!! Don't forget to like and share!!

Trail update for KASA. Both groomers left this morning just as the storm was letting up. We sent one groomer to Fredericton Via the railbed, he proceeded to Rustico, Stanley Bridge and then to Louie's, we have made a driver change and it is working its way back to Margate at this time. The second groomer worked its way to Summerside back out to the Indian River bypass and did Spring Valley area and French River. Tomorrow we will assess the snow conditions and the temps and work from there. Safe Sledding and don't forget to Like , Follow and Share our posts.

Good afternoon sledders,
Yesterday the new Holland groomer went from margate to Louis place in Granville and then to Fredricton, up the railbed to Summerside and back down through margate, it then went in for a minor repair.
I got aboard the piston bully groomer and went to spring Valley, down to French river and then on to Rustico. Only places that there was low snow was in margate and Irishtown. The Kensington bypass trail was not groomed due to low snow conditions. But everything else is in surprisingly good shape.
Get out and enjoy the trails, hope you have a great weekend.

RussJ

Hello Sledders,
First off I have to apologize for the late update. We have a lot of new board members this year and we didn’t have a login to do this report.
As of right now the new Holland groomer was out 2 days ago and opened the back roads but it was very rough in the fields and they broke the brush gard on the machine. The gard was welded last night and the new Holland groomer was on the go to Granville first thing this morning. It will go to Rustico and to Fredricton then up the rail bed to Summerside. As far as the Kensington bypass trail and out in spring valley conditions are poor and snow is marginal. Also rail bed going through Kensington is not great either.
I will do my best to keep this updated on here now going forward.
Thank you for buying your trail pass!
Regards, RussJ.
