After a wonderful weekend of snowmobiling and seeing hundreds of sleds on the entire PEISA trail system, most groomers started up again last night when temperatures got colder. The Island # 4 was also out on Saturday night but a hydraulic oil leak in one of the lines at 2.30 am forced us to stop grooming and leave the groomer on the side of the trail, till repairs could be done on Monday morning. After installing a new hose and a few minor maintenance repairs, the groomer was ready to go and it left Grandview Monday evening and headed up the #104 through Lake Verde and up to Pisquid River, where it turned around and returned back to Lake Verde and headed into Mt. Herbert on the #105. After a double pass on this trail the groomer went back to Grandview for fuel and then headed towards Murray Harbour on the #104. The groomer returned back to Grandview early morning on Tuesday as the temperatures started to rise. There will be no grooming on Tuesday due to the warmer temperature but it looks like Wednesday night we can return to grooming when the temperatures get colder. Hopefully for all snowmobilers and business owners the warm weather does not destroy our volatile trail system. Stay tuned for updates in the coming days
