The snow we received Thursday has definitely made a huge difference in the trail system in the Eastern end of PEI. The groomer had been busy for 45 straight hours after the snow and has gone grooming on Friday and Saturday nights and will go again on Sunday night as well. Most of the trails in the east have had at least four passes and are in great shape. The additional 5-10 cm of snow we received in the east on Sunday is also going to be welcomed. On Saturday night the groomer went from Grandview to the intersection of the #104 and #217 in Uigg. It then did a double pass of the 217 to New Perth. This was the third time doing this trail in 30 hours and it sure shows. We also did the #103 from Mt. Stewart into Georgetown with a double pass and it is also in great shape. Tonight (Sunday) the plan is to do the #104 from Murray Harbour to Mt. Stewart as well as the #105 into Mt. Herbert. The trails have been very busy over this long weekend and it is great to see so many people out.

Just a reminder that the following restaurants in the East will be open on the holiday Monday (Islander Day).

Red Claw Bistro in Souris just off the #106. The Holy Cow in Morell on Trail #100. Wood Island Cafe Express (just off the #104) in Wood Island. The Fortune Diner in Fortune on the new trail #321 which starts at the Dundas Irving in Dundas. The Deck at Ocean Acres. The Souris Striders at the Ski Park in Harmony Junction
