What a busy weekend across all PEISA Trail Systems. The trails were well used by all of our members and unfortunately that big storm they talked about for 6 days disappeared and now we can still hope for the next big one!!! As we all know we need more snow from west to east. The #4 Groomer has had better weekends. We left Friday night around 9.00 planning to have a big night of grooming but sensors started acting up and we were forced to return to home base or risk having the groomer broke down on the trail. Repairs were made early Saturday morning and the groomer headed east on the #104 down to Murray Harbour and into Ocean Acres. It returned the same route and stopped for the day because of the amount of sleds on the trails. The groomer then left Saturday night around 10.00 pm heading towards Mt. Stewart on the #104. It was able to do a single pass up through Lake Verde and into Mt. Stewart before heading down the #103 towards Georgetown. The hose that lifts the front of the drag would not stay in the coupler and therefore it became very difficult to cross roads and use without leaving large amounts of snow on the roads. We finally had to quit and limp the groomer back to home base. Repairs have been made and it will be leaving this evening
