GROOMER REPORTS

Central Trail

After a long day of trail busting and the occasional part of getting stuck... by the way thanks for the assistance in freetown. You know it is appreciated. We have a complete pass on everything as of right now. Groomer has not stopped long enough except to change drivers and adjust guides on the drag. It is going west on route 100 today to borden and hope to change drivers and go back towards summerside this evening. Conditions again are going to depend on the amount of traffic that goes over them. Days are longer and sun is warmer will soon put an end to day time grooming. Sled safe and enjoy

Eastern 1 Trail

Groomer left last night after traffic began to slow down. Did another pass from Vernon River to Mt.Stewart on the #104 and then headed into Toymaster's on the #100 West before returning the same Route. This section of trail is one of the heaviest used on the PEISA trail system as it is the only way to the east from Charlottetown.  It has had 7 passes this week and will still be washboard by the end of each day with the large amount of machines running. We will be going again on Sunday night.

Island 4 Trail

The #4 groomer left home base Sunday evening after the storm with the box drag to bust drifts, and push back snow at road crossings. It left Grandview on the 104 railbed headed to the 217 through Greenfield, up the 103 through Peakes to Pisquid River. It double backed on the 103 to Georgetown and Brudenell. From there, it opened up the 221 through Dundas to Ashton. From Ashton, the groomer headed straight back to Grandview to hook on the drag. It groomed down the 104 railbed to the 217, up the 217 through Greenfield, onto the 103 to Mount Stewart, down the 100 to Winlsoe, doubling back and groomed into Outrider's on the 102. It groomed the 100 back to Mt Stewart and down the 104 through Lake Verde. Lots of snow down, trails are not perfect yet so please snowmobile with caution, and stay to the right.

Springside Trail

Christmas day grooming ! When was the last time we could report this ? The Groomer left the cabin on the 301 went east and did the 317 into North River , then back to the 301 into Cornwall on 315, then back out to Hampshire area towards the 100 behind Lank's farm. There is now access right off the 100 into Clow's Red and white and they are offering Supreme fuel this season. Groomed to Clows and there is now access from there right back onto the 301 , where we continued onto the 303 south to New Haven , (reporting low snow in this area and it is plowed fields, so please ride with caution) and the 409 before returning to the 301 and back to base. The groomer is back out today the 26th and panning as there is not enough snow to really use the drag. Reminder to all that the last day for purchasing permits at the early bird pricing is December 31st.This is a far more promising start than years previous, so please keep doing those snow dances!
